We are the Sunshine Coast’s Original and best Urban Close Quarter Battle Gelball Field! Offering an alternative to traditional evening sports. You can BYO blaster or rent one on arrival. We have a great community of both regular players and new casual drop-ins. We split all players into teams at the start of each session so come with friends or come alone and make new ones along the way.  

Who

As a group of friends that had a passion for the sport, we found there wasn’t a suitable place to play on the Sunshine Coast. So, we built our own. Gelball offers all the benefits of traditional after work sports with a unique twist. It allows everyone to play equally regardless of fitness level or ability. All players are split into teams at the start of each session so come with friends or come alone and make new ones while your here.

Wednesday 17:00-21:00 Uber Session 16+

Thursday 17:00-21:00 - Public Session 8+

Friday 17:00-21:00 - Public Session 8+

Saturday 13:00-17:00 - Public Session 8+

Safety

  • EYE PROTECTION

    • All players are required to wear full eye protection

    • Bring your own or we have them available for rental or purchase

  • ENCLOSED FOOTWEAR

    • All players and spectators are required to wear fully enclosed footwear at all times

  • LONG SLEEVES & NECK COVERING

    • are not essential, but recommended as our field is designed with most engagements being inside of 3-12 meters

  • HEARING

    • As we are in an industrial shed it can get loud.

    • Please bring your own suitable protection if you have hearing sensitivity

  • EPILEPSY

    • If you suffer from Epilepsy or are particularly sensitive to lights, you need to advise our staff

  • ASTHMA

    • if you suffer from asthma or are particularly sesitive to smoke, you need to advise our staff

Please note: We have a zero tolerance smoking policy.

  • As we share our premises with a wood working shop we are not permitted to have open flames inside the gate.

Children

Ages 8-13

Children aged 8-13 will only be allowed to play while being directly supervised by a playing parent or guardian. One child per accompanying parent/guardian

Ages 14-17

Children aged 14-17 may play on their own, but a parent or guardian must remain on site for the duration of the session

FPS (Foot Per Second) limits

Gel limits

  • Electric blasters are limited to 340 FPS during all Public Sessions.

    • If over 300 FPS they must run single shot only.

  • HPA blasters are limited to 300 FPS and must run single shot only.

  • Uber Sessions All blasters are limited to 380 FPS and must run single shot only

  • Ultra-hardened gels are not allowed in public sessions. Simple test is can it be easily crushed between two fingers, if not it will not be allowed.
